I have a microsoft wireless basestation, and the host(?) computer’s but the management tool is not working so I can’t reset the key. The computer only has one login so it’s not an admin access problem. I also have a laptop on my network so the key is on there somewhere but I’m not sure if there’s a way to view it there.

If you have the admin password, hardwire it, go to 192.168.1.1 and you should be able to view it under the wireless security settings.

In genrela term you cannot view the key as it is encrypted 128 bit. but the only person who has given the key can getinto it. Say like sys admin or network admin. The key can be taken from one system to other but you cannot view the key You can oly when you are assigning it.

Go to run, type cmd, then type ipconfig, then loads of numbers come out and then go to internet explorer and type the numbers including the periods in the address bar. Then you should be able to get the network key. If the window asks you for the password, the default password is username: admin, Password: password.
